DSHplus Libraries

Hydraulic Library

The DSHplus Hydraulic Library is dedicated to support an optimal development of complex hydraulic systems. The component-oriented set-up of the library components accompanied by clearly recognisable icon symbols lead to a simulation model that is easy to understand, and that strongly resembles to a standard hydraulic circuit diagram.

The DSHplus Hydraulic Library comprises over 140 components, well structured into component groups such as pumps, motor/cylinders, control valves, relief valves, check valves, resistances, pipes, and accumulators. The bandwidth of application for the DSHplus Hydraulic Library reaches from classical industrial hydraulics over automotive and off-highway to aerospace and off-shore systems.

Thermo Hydraulic Library

In order to meet the increasing demands for thermal-hydraulic system performance FLUIDON developed the DSHplus Thermo-Hydraulic Library which gives the user the ability to predict the temperature of the circulating fluid and the heat flow rates at any point in the system.

Thus the user is able to pinpoint potential thermal trouble spots in the system at the design stage before major investments in material and time are spent.

Pneumatic Library

The DSHplus Pneumatic Library is dedicated to support the design of complex pneumatic systems and study their static and dynamic behavior. With over 75 elements the library provides a comprehensive set of pneumatic components from which it is possible to model a majority of pneumatic systems.

Classical fields of application for the DSHplus Pneumatic Library are mechatronic systems in the packaging and handling industry. Nowadays there is also an increasing number of applications in automotive or rail way industry, such as pneumatic damper, pneumatic brakes, or sophisticated air spring systems. The DSHplus Pneumatic Library was developed in association with the Institute of Fluid Power Motion and Control (IFAS) of the RWTH Aachen, an international recognized fluid power research center.

Controls Library

The DSHplus Control Technique Library is dedicated to support the design of control circuits for fluid power applications and to enable a graphical set-up of component models, not covered yet by other DSHplus technical libraries.
To achieve this, the library is based on a block diagram approach for its component models. The DSHplus Control Technique Library comprises signal sources, mathematical expressions, linear and nonlinear functions, look-up tables, switches, analog and time discrete controller elements, logical elements and user defined function blocks.

Mechanical Library

The comfortable and user-friendly DSHplus mechanical libraries are dedicated to support the setup of load cases for fluid power systems simulation. The well structured libraries include a wide range of mechanical systems and guides the user to an optimal development of the mechanical systems.

The basic DSHplus Mechanical Library comprises elements such as moved mass, inertia and lever wich are inevitably to apply load to fluid power application. In addition to basic mechanic elements the DSHplus Drive Technology Library, that comprises elements such as basic models of eletrical or combustion engines, fixed or switchable clutches, brakes and gears from which it is easy to model 1D mechanical systems.

Company Specific Library

The FLUIDON Engineering Service develops DSHplus Company Specific Libraries according to specific customer requirements, usually to represent the company’s products. Characteristic features of such a library are detailed component models to achieve high quality simulation results and ready to use component parameter sets to guarantee an convenient usage.

Typical areas of application for the DSHplus Company Specific Libraries are in house product development projects or library exchange with other DSHplus users to support customer acquisition activities.

Automotive Hose Library

The DSHplus Automotive Flexible Hose Library has been especially developed to support a simulation-based design and optimization process of automotive pipe and hose units. Herewith automotive suppliers and manufacturers possess a new tool to improve the capability and efficiency of their NVH engineering process.

Power Steering Library

Modern hydraulic and electro-hydraulic steering systems comprise several components manufactured by different suppliers. Assembled due to customer specifications for packaging and performance, the design of these systems is one of the most challenging tasks in modern automotive system development.

The DSHplus Steering System Library comprises all components necessary to perform a simulation onto system level. Hereby evaluation and optimization of conventional power rack and pinion as well as EPHS steering systems is already achieved at an early design stage.
